Free Lance Artist #1

Hobbyist artist I should say. It’s not a full time gig, nor a whim. Somewhere in between. She travels to 6-8 art shows per year, selling her hand painted paintings. (of course paintings are painted, just me thinking to myself here)

Time frame – Over a few months of casually talking and my brain rummaging through my cranial attic.

Deliverables – New, across category prices, and strategically created price points for popular themes. Specifically we raised the prices on some of the works by up to 100% (doubling them). Initially this lost lower end clients but only one or two extra sales made up for the entire shows.

Results – In show income increase by approximately 20%. More engagement at the showings with future clientele being added.

Status – Ongoing work.

My perceptions – You don’t have to be great to start with. She doubled her prices, then her brain said, I need to create better stuff, so she did.
Then she Tried things, some worked, some didn’t, but she TRIED.

I’ll continue to work with her as long as I have the time. She’s fun to work with and is willing to take chances.
She do just fine.
